If you have created a new channel for your site and are unsure of how to make it display in the desired location in your menu sidebar, review the steps below to ensure that you have enabled the correct visibility settings for the channel.
Pin to menu
When a channel is created, it will automatically be placed under a Channels header in the menu by default.
If you would like it to be displayed outside of the Channels listing, you need to ensure that the 'Pin to menu' toggle is switched on, to ensure the channel is placed in the main listing within the menu.
To enable this setting, head to the cog in the top right-hand corner of the page and click Channels. Then look for the channel in question, click on the three dots and hit Edit.
Once you have actioned this, don't forget to click 'Update Channel'.
Hide from menu
This setting may have been enabled in error. To verify this, once again head to the Channels index and click 'Edit' under the three dots on the right-hand side of the page.
From here, make sure that the 'Hide from menu' toggle is switched off.
Channel not displayed under a header
If you have configured your channel to appear under a header in the menu and it is not visible at all, you need to ensure that the 'Pin to menu' toggle is switched off for the channel in question.
You may also find that the header you created is nested under the aforementioned Channels listing.
To rectify this, go to the Channels index page and click the three vertical dots to the right of the header in question and hit 'Edit'. Make sure you have ticked the box labelled 'Pin To Menu' and remember to click 'Save Header' when you're finished.
Your channel header will now be visible in the main listing in the left-hand menu.
